Why we made POKORO?

In 2015, Neolab launched N2 to create new note-taking system to change classroom scene. Little did Neolab’s CEO, Steven Lee, know the world would face a pandemic in a few years.
During COVID-19, remote learning became the norm, and Steven Lee, a father of two young daughters, saw firsthand its challenges. This sudden shift deprived many children of interactive learning opportunities and delayed the development of crucial skills.
Determined to find a solution, Steven Lee envisioned a device that could bridge the gap—a screen-free, interactive device with communication ability. He integrated GPT's conversational capabilities, ensuring the device could engage children in meaningful dialogue. The result was Pokoro.
